Green Home Construction

Close to 100,000 new “green homes” have been constructed under guidlines developed by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). That figure is up from the 60,000 homes constructed that NAHB identified when they first surveyed their members in 2004 when the guidlines were initially developed.
To the NAHB, green home construction includes, among various other factors, construction techniques that minimize waste and emphasize using sustainable materials.
